Week after week, for 2 years and 6 months, RAPTIVA has continued to make a difference in Mike's psoriasis. And just like Mike, if it works for you, it can work for as long as you keep taking it.
"Based on the effectiveness that I had seen with the previous studies on RAPTIVA and based against the effectiveness of other biologics and systemics, RAPTIVA seemed to be the best option for me. I started seeing results within a month. And, after probably 2 or 3 weeks, I could see that the scales were thinning, and it was going from a dark red to a pink. And probably after 3 months, I had significant clearing."
"I've been taking RAPTIVA for 2 and a half years. And my skin is just almost completely clear still today. RAPTIVA has cleared my psoriasis and kept it clear for over 2 years. I still do have some psoriasis and I still do have some itching, which I take an antihistamine for. And it's been very manageable. I intend to stay on it because it's been effective."
If you are like Mike, and are looking for long-term control of your psoriasis, you may have some questions:
If you miss a dose, call your healthcare provider to find out when you should take your next dose and what schedule to follow.
Psoriasis is a chronic condition. And like all other chronic conditions, to control it, you may need to use medicine long-term. It's no different with RAPTIVA. If it works for you, it works for as long as you keep taking it. And it can be used long-term.
Please consult your dermatologist if you are considering stopping RAPTIVA. He or she can make a new plan for you.
The dosing of RAPTIVA is based on your weight. At your injection training, a trained nurse or your dermatologist will let you know the correct dose. You should always follow these instructions. If your weight changes dramatically, let your dermatologist know. He or she can readjust your dose based on your current weight.
If your insurance changes, or if you know that it is going to change, notify your Specialty Pharmacy or RAPTIVA Access SolutionsTM immediately.
