Taking charge of psoriasis
Psoriasis can impact everyday life.
You know what it's like to have chronic moderate to severe plaque psoriasis. The itching, the redness, the scaly white plaques. But perhaps you're also familiar with another layer: the embarrassment, the stares, the covering up. If psoriasis is contributing to stress in your life, you should know that stress can contribute to psoriasis.
Studies show that in some instances, stress can trigger the onset of psoriasis, or it can act as an aggravation to the condition if it already exists. In fact, it is believed that between one-third and one-half of people with psoriasis believe stress has a negative impact on their condition. If you have psoriasis, learning to limit the stress in your life is essential to controlling your condition.
- "Why me? Why did I get stuck with this disease? Why did it happen to me at such a young age? Now I understand it's not life threatening, but it is life altering."*

- 75% of people feel that psoriasis is a moderate to large problem in their life
- 26% of people have altered or stopped their normal daily activities
- 40% of people try to hide their condition by covering it with their clothing choices
- "When I would get done playing basketball - and of course I played in long pants and a long-sleeve shirt, but guys used to wait in line for the shower. Not me. When I got to the shower, they'd clear right out. I could get any shower stall I wanted."*

If you have psoriasis, you know you're not contagious, but sometimes other people aren't so sure. If you're interested in speaking to others about your psoriasis, try a support group. You can find one at the National Psoriasis Foundation at www.psoriasis.org.
Treating psoriasis should not be stressful
- "With RAPTIVA, the whole process takes about 4 or 5 minutes, and it's probably the simplest thing that I've done for years for psoriasis. Everything else was always effort, effort, effort, with no results. Now there's less effort and visible results."*

Your psoriasis medication should be the least of your worries. So it's important to get a treatment that works-that offers results and is simple for you. RAPTIVA only needs to be taken once a week. And if it works for you, it's proven to provide a significant improvement in your psoriasis for as long as you keep taking it. So you can get back to being the person you were, before the condition started holding you back.
- "Don't give up. I suffered with psoriasis for approximately 30 years and never thought in my lifetime that they would find a product that could do the job that RAPTIVA does for me."*
