When Angela first learned that RAPTIVA was taken as an injection, she was apprehensive. It took some convincing before her doctor could get her to start.
"My doctor explained to me that RAPTIVA would be an injection and then we went through a thorough talk about it. And I thought about it. I took a few days. And I let my doctor know that I thought it was something that I would give a try and she convinced me that it would be a product that may be right for me. And she was right. I mean, I've been on it for a short time. And getting used to the injections. I hate needles. But I'm learning that the more I do it, the more comfortable I am with it."
Angela has been patient with her RAPTIVA treatment. And in her first 3 months, she's noticed an improvement. "I haven't been on it for a long time. But the areas of my psoriasis are usually red, scaly, and a little raised above my skin level. I have noticed that it's evening out. It's not as ashy or scaly, the bumps are not as raised. And it's getting lower and lower, so I'm excited about the future."
Now Angela handles her injections like a pro. The best part is, she understands how RAPTIVA works: underneath her skin. "Once you've injected, it's actually going into the skin. I've always used ointments and creams on top of my psoriasis. And to me, RAPTIVA attacks the problem by really getting into the psoriasis and taking care of it."
It took some courage, but Angela's satisfied with the results. "There's nothing else that I've tried that works for me like RAPTIVA. I kid you not."
